Plot Ownership
A plot, professionally farmed for you
When you buy a Golden Paddock plot, you receive a beneficial interest in a defined area of the orchard, held in trust. Not a promise of returns — actual agricultural land with living trees, governed by a Trust Deed.
🌿
A Unit of Agricultural Land
Your plot is defined by unit, block, and tree count in the Trust Register. The land sits at Asejire, Ibadan — documented, mapped, and legally structured.
🥑
Hass Avocado Trees, Managed for You
Drip-irrigated, IPM-managed Hass avocado cultivation under professional agronomic supervision. You own the biological assets; we manage the agronomy.
📋
Annual Farm Distribution
From Year 4, avocado output from your plot is distributed in kind or as proceeds — documented in an annual Farm Distribution Statement setting out gross production, deductions, and your plot's allocation.
🏛️
Trust Protection + Documented Interest
The orchard is held in a formal Trust Deed. You receive a Certificate of Beneficial Interest and annual confirmation of your Trust Register entry.

Common Questions
Everything you need to know before buying
Is this an investment scheme or financial product?
No. Golden Paddock sells agricultural land interests — plots of farmland on a working avocado orchard. This is not a collective investment scheme, not a fixed-income product, and no financial return is guaranteed. You are purchasing a defined beneficial interest in agricultural land, governed by a Trust Deed and a Subscriber's Agreement. Harvest proceeds, when distributed, reflect actual farm output. Terms and Conditions apply.
What exactly do I own?
You hold a Beneficial Interest in the orchard, defined by unit, block, and tree count. This interest is registered in the Trust Register, evidenced annually by a Certificate of Beneficial Interest, and held by an independent Trustee under a Trust Deed. You do not hold a government-issued C of O for your individual plot — your interest is in the collective orchard through the Trust structure.
When does the first harvest happen?
Hass avocados typically begin productive fruiting from Year 4 of establishment. Initial yields grow significantly through Years 5–8 as canopy matures. We provide monthly agronomic reports so you can follow tree progress from day one.
What are the ongoing costs after I buy?
There are no separate management invoices after your plot purchase. Years 1–3 management costs are included in your plot price. From Year 4, management costs are funded through a structured retention from harvest proceeds — set out transparently in each Distribution Statement. Nothing is billed to you directly.
How do I pay and what are the bank details?
Payment is made by bank transfer to: the Golden Paddock Limited authorised account — bank details are confirmed in writing by our team prior to payment. Always verify account details directly with us before transferring. On receipt, we issue a payment confirmation, execute the Subscriber's Agreement via Zoho Sign, and initiate your Trust registration. Your Allocation Letter and Certificate follow within the timeline set out in your Agreement.
Can I exit or sell my plot?
Yes. Your Subscriber's Agreement sets out exit provisions, including the right to transfer your beneficial interest to a third party subject to Golden Paddock's notification requirements. The Trust structure is designed with a 25-year horizon, but exit is not permanently locked. See your Agreement Schedule for full exit terms.
Who manages the farm and how are agronomic decisions made?
Golden Paddock manages the orchard under a Management Services Agreement, with professionally trained farm staff operating to documented SOPs for irrigation, IPM, pruning, and soil health. Monthly reports are sent to all plot holders. From Year 5, the Cooperative structure gives plot owners governance participation in material orchard decisions.

The schedule and amount of any distribution is determined by actual farm output and market conditions.
2.7 Exit and Transfer
